The Rose Festival started this weekend. Next Friday is the nighttime Starlight Parade—Portland’s most fanciful parade. Directly before the parade is the Starlight Run—an evening foot race that follows the parade route. In the spirit of the parade, many participants dress in costume to make the race a more colorful event.
The picture above is from last year’s run. I’ll be photographing the race again on May 30th.
