Every year the NW Film Center presents a film series on the top level of a downtown parking garage.  Called Top Down, the venue offers great views on warm summer evenings.  Before the movie, food drink and live music is available. 

All the ice cream is hand made by by the proprietor.  It’s some of the best I’ve had, though I have not had the courage to try the vegetable flavored ice creams yet.  He sells his wares from the small orange stand you see pictured above.  He’s there 12 months a year—from noon to sunset. 

At last the Craft Brewer’s Conference earlier this month, featured a large trade show.  Craft beer brewers from all over the world got to view the latest in state-of-the-art equipment and supplies.  And of course, there was LOTS of beer to sample.

I was away last week and have been trying to play catch-up every since.  I went to San Diego to photograph my 3rd Craft Brewers Conference put on every year by the Brewers Association.  Craft beer brewers from 30 countries converge to learn more about their art, go to a trade show and drink a lot of beer.  I’ll post a few photos over the next few days.

So many people showed up to see Hillary Clinton last Saturday morning that an overflow room had to be set up with a video screen for people who could not fit into the gym.  If you would like to read more about my impressions of Senator Clinton’s speech you can read it here.  You can also see more images.  I hope to continue to cover the this year’s political races as the campaigns pass through this part of the country.
